Our stores are fast‑paced environments where no two days are ever the same, especially during our busiest and most magical time of the year. As one of our Trading Assistants, you’ll be one of our Christmas Champions ensuring our stores are set up brilliantly to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury’s for.

Eligibility

  • Must be above school‑leaver age in your country (see GOV.UK)
  • Right to work eligibility in the UK
  • If shifts cover hours earlier than 6 am or later than 11 pm, you must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15 kg) to replenish items across the store, keeping shelves tidy and well‑presented.
  • Always ready to serve customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and proactively offering help.
  • Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
  • Check dates on fresh produce and grocery products.
  • Help across the store as needed and support with deliveries as required.
