What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead and manage a small team of managers overnight, delivering all replenishment activities ready for customers the following morning.
  • Plan for upcoming key trading activities and events by working closely with the rest of the store leadership team.
  • People management, including pay and scheduling routines, training, communication, and employee relation activities such as managing performance, absence, and completing disciplinaries.
  • Take full accountability for the store overnight, role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the store.
  • Ensure the health and safety of every colleague who works with you on a shift.
  • Work full-time hours over 4 nights, receiving a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary (nightshifts typically run from 22:00 – 08:00).

  • Proven success in delivering and improving KPIs — from sales and stock availability to customer satisfaction and colleague engagement.
  • Experience managing sensitive and complex people matters, including performance, absence, and formal employee relations cases, with confidence, fairness, and sound judgement.
  • Leadership experience in an operational environment — whether in retail, hospitality, or food service.
  • Can evidence leading change — rolling out new ways of working, embedding new systems, or shifting team mindsets.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated experience working night shifts in a high-volume, operational environment, adapting to the physical and mental demands of overnight working.
