As an Online Assistant, you will support a joyful shopping experience for our online customers, ensuring they receive everything they shop for at Sainsbury’s.
Eligibility & Requirements
- You must be above the school‑leaver age in your country.
- If the shifts for this role cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have Right‑to‑Work eligibility in the UK.
- Be 18 years of age or over.
- Hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Be willing to undertake Back‑Up Driver training as part of the role.
- Previous commercial driving experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Pick and select the best quality products on the shop floor that online customers have ordered, preparing them for delivery to their doorsteps, and provide brilliant substitutions where products are out of stock.
- Use a handset that plans your route around the store, showing what to select and how long you have to complete each shop.
- Work behind the scenes to deal with customer queries, process orders and help load vans for our Home Delivery Drivers.
- Always be ready to serve customers brilliantly, supporting any queries and proactively offering help.
- Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
- Work flexibly across the store as required.
