What you'll do

As a Value and Pricing Support Analyst at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role within the Commercial Proposition team by providing strategic insights, recommendations, and decision-making support for the Food Propositional strategic frameworks and pricing actions. Your responsibilities will include supporting the development of pricing capabilities, influencing change across the organisation, and serving as a centre of knowledge on pricing analytics and insights. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to drive commercial outcomes, analyse market insights, and provide specialised pricing and range support to enhance pricing strategies across different channels. Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in analytical capability, with the ability to manipulate large and diverse data sources and extract meaningful insights to drive commercial outcomes.
  • High proficiency in Excel and analytical tools, enabling effective data manipulation, pricing analysis, and the development of insight-led recommendations.
  • Strategic and hypothesis-led thinking, supporting the development of pricing strategies and contributing to complex commercial problem-solving.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence change across the organisation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
