Role Overview: As a Group Product Manager within Argos Commercial, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of our digital transformation in this space. You will line manage other Product Managers or Senior Product Managers, ensuring that our strategy continues to meet the needs of our customers and drives business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for operations and creating innovative digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the product strategy and vision for Argos Commercial, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data, operations and Argos Change & Improvement, to deliver high-quality impactful technology products.
- Conduct market research and analyse customer and colleague feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and new features.
- Define and prioritise the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of key initiatives.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to measure success and make data-driven decisions.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends (including use of AI and agentic commerce) and best practices to ensure we remain competitive and innovative.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in product management, with a history of successfully managing and prioritising investment in a blend of in-house developed applications, SaaS platforms and legacy technologies.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Strong understanding of technology investment processes; including capital return on investment and the construction of business cases.
- Passion for digital innovation and a deep understanding of modern product development practices, including agentic AI.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Extensive understanding of the GM retail market, including innovation trends (e.g agentic commerce) and competitive landscape.
