About the team
Nectar360 sits at the heart of Sainsbury’s retail media and loyalty ecosystem, focused on creating a brilliant digital experience for customers shopping online. We’re a fast-growing, dynamic team powering supplier‑funded campaigns across Sainsbury’s.co.uk, the Sainsbury’s App and OnDemand channels—helping brands connect with customers at the moments that matter. Working as part of our Digital Media function, you’ll collaborate with talented colleagues across trading, digital trading and ad operations to deliver best-in-class execution and measurable impact.
More about the role
As an Ecommerce Client Manager, you’ll be accountable for the end-to-end management and delivery of supplier-funded media activations across your business unit on Groceries Online (GOL). You’ll work within defined trading and planning guardrails to drive supplier investment, optimise spend, and track performance against commitments—ensuring activity aligns to supplier activation plans and delivers excellent execution. Day to day, you’ll partner closely with category suppliers and internal stakeholders to review performance, investment and strategy, while working with ad operations teams to ensure campaigns are activated and optimised effectively on our ecommerce media platform. You’ll also play a key role in educating and upskilling colleagues on GOL media, contributing to the ongoing development of a profitable, customer‑focused media proposition that protects the customer journey. You’ll provide regular updates to the Ecommerce Client Director and Senior Ecommerce Client Manager on client performance, project delivery and revenue status, supporting shared priorities and smooth delivery.
More about you
You’re highly organised and methodical, comfortable managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail—especially when working with data and analytics tools. You bring a solid foundation in client management (ideally within retail or FMCG), combining analytical and numerical capability with clear communication and presentation skills that build trust with internal and external stakeholders. Commercially minded and strategically aware, you can align plans to broader business objectives, negotiate effectively to balance competing priorities, and deliver to deadlines. You take ownership, proactively spot risks and opportunities, and collaborate across teams—often through matrix ways of working—to drive outcomes against client objectives and revenue targets. You’re also committed to continuous development and happy to stretch beyond your comfort zone as you grow within the role.
Essential criteria (up to 5)
- Demonstrable experience managing end-to-end delivery of supplier-funded ecommerce media activations (briefing, activation, optimisation and post-campaign review).
- Proven ability to track spend and performance against agreed commitments using data and analytics tools, and turn insights into clear recommendations.
- Evidence of building productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders (e.g., trading/digital trading) to align plans and prioritise activity.
- Experience working with ad operations teams to ensure campaigns are activated accurately and optimised effectively on an ecommerce media platform.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams to deadline within defined guardrails, providing clear status updates on performance, delivery and revenue.
