This role is for a 12 month fixed term contract. As Digital Trade Planning Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring we are brilliantly showing up to our customers across our digital channel through the delivery of a robust trade and event plan, which delivers against our customer and commercial strategic ambitions. This role puts the customer at the heart of our digital activity and takes responsibility for the most important trading messages of a given season, event or campaign.
What outcomes you need to deliver:
- Champion the digital channel across the business, ensuring its needs and potential are realised in Customer and Proposition planning.
- Own all Digital Customer and Trade Planning for Food, ensuring plans reflect strategic ambitions.
- Lead the Trade Planning Lead, overseeing high-traffic (including Homepage) strategy and ongoing optimisation.
- Manage a team of Event Trading Leads to deliver cross-category events and brand campaigns to plan.
- Incorporate key market and customer insights into trade planning to identify competitive opportunities.
- Ensure Digital Content, Experience, and Product teams' roadmaps support event and campaign execution.
- Collaborate with Nectar360 to maximise monetisation opportunities on high-traffic and event pages.
- Work closely with Digital Operations to ensure operational readiness for key trading events and protect customer service levels.
What you need to know and show:
- In-depth understanding of Digital retail, ideally in a large retail organisation with customer-centric experience (essential).
- Skilled in web-analysis and performance data to inform strategic decisions; Adobe experience highly desirable (essential).
- Experience managing and developing customer and trading plans, from strategy to communication (essential).
- Strong grasp of the Digital retail market and factors influencing channel performance and customer expectations.
- Ability to quickly identify trading risks and opportunities, and seek effective solutions.
- Highly analytical and confident with commercial measures and metrics.
- Confident communicator, able to present to large audiences and deliver effective written communications with data and story visualisation.
- Able to influence broader business decisions and prioritisation, ensuring digital requirements are met.
