Joining Zest, Sainsbury's in-house creative agency, as a Content Creator means becoming part of a collaborative, fast-moving creative environment where you'll help shape engaging, platform-native social content for one of the UK's most recognised food brands. Working closely with the Zest social team, Sainsbury's Digital Marketing team, food economists, the food innovation team and our in-house studio, you'll create content that brings recipes, trends and social-first ideas to life quickly and effectively. What you'll do

As a Content Creator at Zest, you will be responsible for developing disruptive, engaging and social-first content that resonates with Sainsbury's audiences and enhances brand visibility across key platforms, primarily Instagram and TikTok. You'll work across recipe-led ideas, lo-fi food content, emerging trends and reactive social opportunities, turning references and inspiration into content that feels native, relevant and on-brand. You'll attend briefings, identify creative opportunities, develop ideas, create storyboards, shot lists and simple treatment documents, and present content routes clearly to internal stakeholders and clients. You'll shoot and edit short-form content on iPhone using tools such as CapCut, with a strong understanding of how to make content feel authentic, immediate and platform-native. Collaborating closely with the Zest social team, Sainsbury's Digital Marketing team, food economists and the food innovation team, you'll help identify trends and turn them into content quickly. You'll also work with our in-house studio team, food stylists, photographers, videographers and larger production teams on higher-production projects, ensuring social-first thinking is embedded from concept through to delivery.

Who you are

You're a hands-on content creator with a strong understanding of social platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, and the ability to create content that feels native to each channel. You're confident shooting and editing lo-fi content on iPhone, responding quickly to briefs and trends, and turning ideas into polished, engaging short-form content. You're curious, proactive and collaborative, with an interest in food and ideally experience creating content for food brands. You're comfortable working with creative, production, studio and digital marketing teams, as well as presenting ideas and content routes to stakeholders. With strong communication skills, adaptability and a passion for continuous learning, you're committed to delivering high-quality, on-brand content that inspires and engages audiences.

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience creating engaging short-form social content across major platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
  • Strong portfolio or examples demonstrating content creation, iPhone shooting, lo-fi capture and short-form editing.
  • Experience creating content for food brands is preferable, with a strong interest in food, recipes and food trends.
  • Ability to develop content ideas, storyboards, shot lists, reference packs and simple treatment documents.
  • Confidence using iPhone, CapCut and other relevant social editing tools to create polished, platform-native content.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across social, digital marketing, food innovation, studio and production teams.
  • Confidence presenting ideas and content routes clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
