What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and manage a small team of managers overnight, delivering all replenishment activities ready for customers the following morning.
  • Plan for upcoming key trading activities and events by working closely with the rest of the store leadership team.
  • People management, including pay and scheduling routines, training, communication and employee relation activities such as managing performance, absence, and completing disciplinaries.
  • Take full accountability for the store overnight, role modelling and coaching for high standards and efficiency across the store.
  • Take accountability for the health and safety of every one of the colleagues who works with you on a shift.

Our nightshift managers work full‑time hours over 4 nights, and receive a £4,500 premium on top of their base salary (our nightshifts typically run from 22:00 – 08:00).

  • Can manage disciplinaries, performance issues or other similar employee relations issues (up to dismissal).

Essential Criteria

  • Experience leading large teams in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.
  • A track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences across complex operations.
  • Proven success in delivering and improving KPIs such as sales, stock availability, customer satisfaction and colleague engagement.
  • Experience managing sensitive and complex people matters, including performance, absence, and formal employee relations.
  • Leadership experience in an operational environment, confidently leading the store in the absence of senior leadership.
  • Evidence of leading change—rolling out new ways of working, embedding new systems, or shifting team mindsets.

Desirable Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience working night shifts in a high‑volume operational environment.
