Overview
The Data & Analytics Team at Argos is building a cutting‑edge, business‑impactful capability to power a next‑level strategy and AI‑powered customer experience. As a Lead Analyst, you will analyse customer data, deliver actionable insights, and support CRM, marketing, and data science teams to optimise customer communications and campaign performance.
Responsibilities
- Support the CRM team to deliver excellent campaign performance across email, web, push and other channels through forecasting, targeting recommendations and post‑campaign analysis.
- Identify trends in acquisition, retention and churn; apply customer models to enhance targeting and personalisation.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL, MicroStrategy, PowerBI or similar.
- Collaborate with eCommerce, Digital Product Analytics and Marketplace Analytics teams, providing end‑to‑end analysis of the customer journey and channel performance.
- Triage and assess Data & Analytics use cases, providing subject‑matter expertise and guiding data‑driven solutions.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across teams and senior leadership.
- Identify process improvements through automation, optimisation and emerging technologies.
- Work with data engineering to ensure data pipeline reliability, validation and quality assurance.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in Customer or CRM analytics, including segmentation, lifetime value, behavioural and journey analytics.
- Strong data storytelling skills, able to translate complex analysis into clear business actions.
- Hands‑on expertise with SQL, PowerBI/MicroStrategy, and familiarity with Snowflake, AWS or equivalent cloud data technologies.
- Understanding of A/B testing and statistical analysis.
- Expertise in digital data technologies across the data lifecycle.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex retail, omnichannel or digital environment.
- Experience as a subject‑matter expert within Data & Analytics, providing consultancy on digital and customer analytics.
- Background in translating business questions into measurement frameworks, KPIs and clear success metrics.
- Experience creating programme‑level reporting, executive dashboards and senior‑level progress updates.
Desirable Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with Python or R for customer segmentation.
- Knowledge of digital analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, GA4, Adobe Target, Heap, CRM platforms, CDP solutions).
- Understanding of AI/ML, data monetisation, marketing effectiveness optimisation and advanced customer analytics.
- Experience with LLMs, ML models or generative AI to enhance workflow and insight quality.
- Background in digital, omnichannel or click‑and‑collect retail environments.
- Experience with digital experimentation (A/B/n, MVT, personalisation).
- Experience designing analytics operating models, governance frameworks or measurement methodologies.
- Experience managing, mentoring and upskilling colleagues in Data & Analytics practices.
