Lead Analyst Nectar360 Supplier Analytics
Based in the Sainsburys Office in London, were recruiting an ambitious Lead Analyst to work closely with decision makers in Nectar360 & Sainsburys to drive our media and consultancy proposition to FMCG and GM clients. Nectar360 is the company behind Nectar, the UKs largest loyalty programme, with 18m members across the country.

When you join us you will be providing world-class customer insights for our clients. Utilising the Nectar data to understand how we can personalise the customer experience and drive business impact, this role is a fantastic opportunity to apply your people and analytical leadership skills.
What will you be doing?
Line manage 1 analyst, delivering and driving a pipeline of retail and media consultancy analytics, as well as bespoke media evaluations.
Use your experience and knowledge to identify and propose innovative analytical solutions, leveraging both Nectar and Sainsburys data across a range of areas.
Deliver grocery and GM analysis for FMCG clients in areas such as customer journeys, segmentation, ranging and health.
Work collaboratively with the Retail Consultancy and Client Service teams to grow relationships and revenue from within our FMCG client base.
A proactive approach to improve innovation and automation, bringing together disparate complex data sources into new analytical projects and propositions, including the latest data from around the business such as data relating to Plan For Better or Health.
Work closely with a multi-disciplined team of retail and market research experts, to help our clients better understand customer behaviour.
You will be responsible for ensuring these analytical projects are fit for purpose, delivered on time and with quality and have a measurable impact for our clients and on Nectar360 revenue.
Youll develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, and be an ambassador of your team within Nectar and clients.
Use your strong communication skills to demonstrate the value of Nectar360 services and products.
Ensuring output is always accurate and actionable, with appropriate technical expertise and recommendations.
Deliver success, provide day to day support to other analysts, ensure their wellbeing, developing analytical and commercial skills.
Youll be helping to plan the workload across the team, leading prioritisation of changes with clients and internal stakeholders.
Lead the hiring process when needed, ensuring the recruited analysts are of the highest calibre.
What we would like you to have:
Strong experience, ideally in a client facing analytics role.
Experience in grocery retail / consumer insight.
Proven ability to explore business performance and deliver analysis that has commercial impact.
Experience of line management is desirable.
Excellent communication skills with proven success of collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients.
Experience of optimal application of statistical and data science techniques (regression models, clustering, statistical tests).
Strong experience of customer databases and analytical tools (including SQL, VBA, R or Python).
Experience of BItools (e.g. Tableau or Business Objects) and AWS/Snowflake would be advantageous.
A proven track record of process improvement or automation.
Experience of customer data and the loyalty industry is desirable.
Experience of SKU level analytics is desirable.

Essential Criteria
Demonstrable experience in client-facing analytics, with a track record of delivering commercially impactful insights in grocery retail or consumer insight contexts
Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages, including SQL and at least one of VBA, R, or Python, with practical application of statistical techniques such as regression, clustering, and hypothesis testing
Proven ability to manage and deliver analytical projects, ensuring outputs are accurate, actionable, and aligned with business objectives
Experience in process improvement or automation, with examples of integrating complex data sources or enhancing analytical workflows
