Working in Our Stores
Our stores are fast‑paced environments where no two days are ever the same and food is our passion. As one of our Home Delivery Drivers, you’ll be a vital ingredient that delivers everything our online customers shop at Sainsbury’s for.
Eligibility
- Must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it
- Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
- Will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview and, if successful, will undergo a driving assessment when you join us
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving a 3.5‑tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps on time and in great condition
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road
- Serving customers brilliantly, supporting with questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays
- Building great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
- Helping across the store as needed when not out making deliveries
