In a nutshell
We have many different types of funding arrangements with suppliers that each provide unique complexities towards reaching our aim of recognising, collecting and accounting for funding as effectively as possible. This role will support the logging and collection of supplier income and be a key contact for the Argos buying function to support them on a day to day basis and develop best practices in supplier income accounting. On a day to day basis the job holder is expected to be close to the detail of transactions within supplier income, whilst able to communicate key issues succinctly as part of the bigger picture.
What You Need To Do

  • Understand the supplier funding tools by familiarising yourself with the different sources of funding and the different complexities that exist. Gain knowledge of how the tools work to be able to assist teams and suppliers with questions on an adhoc basis.
  • Responsible for collating and logging funding on a day to day basis ensuring that funding is logged on a timely basis.
  • Work with buying teams and Finance Operations to ensure funding deals are collected on a timely basis and that the company’s cash flow remains as strong as possible.
  • Work with buying teams through regular interactions with the buyers, embedding yourself within their teams as a true business partner for all supplier funding matters.
