As the leader of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll be responsible for delivering solutions utilising the Akamai suite of capabilities across all our brands, including the key Sainsbury's Groceries, Argos, Tu, Habitat brands, as well as other sites in the Sainsburys domain.

What you’ll do:

  • You will work closely with Infosec, Product Managers and Engineers to define the vision and technical direction of the capabilities provided by Akamai, as well as manage multiple deliveries and take end-to-end ownership of the Akamai product, including change management and service management.
  • You will play a vital role in leading and enabling the delivery of solutions that create value, drive efficiency, and increase performance for the business.
  • You will be a key point of contact in the relationship with Akamai, feeding into any appropriate groups and ensuring that as a business we are aware of all changes being made to the product suite and where it can be used to our advantage.
  • Drive the development of new features within our teams that utilise Akamai, promoting best engineering practices, and advocating for agile/lean delivery methodologies and automation across the Akamai environment.
  • You will line manage and guide a multi-skilled engineering team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and skills to deliver end-to-end technical solutions when working with Akamai.
  • Your responsibilities include mentoring and coaching your team members, recruiting diverse and talented individuals, and promoting a culture of collaboration, learning, and respect.
  • Additionally, you will manage initiative-level budgets, ensure adherence to processes and standards, and demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours that contribute to a culture of excellence and inclusivity.
