Working in our stores, our stores are fast‑paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community providing outstanding value, quality and great service. As one of our Trading Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures our stores are set up brilliantly to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury’s for.

Working hours
The weekly hours for this role will be scheduled within an agreed availability pattern of shifts each week. We will schedule your confirmed weekly hours within these times and provide you with three weeks’ notice of your shifts. We will discuss your availability and the hours you can work at interview.
What you’ll be doing
- Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15 kg) to replenish a variety of items across the store, keeping shelves clean, tidy and full of well‑presented products.
- Always ready to serve customers brilliantly when the store is open, supporting with any questions and proactively offering help.
- Date checking fresh produce and grocery products.
- Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries as required.
- Building great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations.
