What you’ll be doing
- Own the overall customer experience from checkout to back‑of‑house, ensuring we meet all customer commitments.
- Manage the front‑end checkout operation, maintaining high service levels for all customers.
- Oversee operations in the petrol station (if the store has one).
- Lead people management: performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and accurate payroll.
- Take overall responsibility for running the store on occasions, providing direction and support to colleagues to deliver for the customer.

- Leadership experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting (retail, food service, hospitality) overseeing daily operations, solving business problems and keeping teams focused on delivering for customers.
- Proven success in delivering against a wide range of KPIs – sales, stock availability, customer satisfaction, colleague engagement – with measurable impact.
- Experience managing complex people matters including performance, absence and formal employee relations cases with confidence and fairness.
