More about the role

Join Sainsbury’s as a Convenience Proposition Analyst and play a pivotal role in transforming how we serve customers across our Local stores. This is a high-impact, strategic role for a commercially astute analyst who thrives in ambiguity, influences at all levels, and brings bold ideas to life.

You’ll lead the development of our format and proposition strategy, tailoring our stores to meet the diverse needs of customers and locations nationwide. Expect to collaborate cross-functionally with commercial trading teams, operations, property, and retail to deliver holistic and actionable plans. You’ll own and deliver strategic projects end-to-end, across space, range, value, and proposition, while continuously monitoring performance and iterating plans to stay ahead of the curve.

You’ll bring exceptional analytical capability and a proactive mindset, with a passion for making things better for customers and colleagues. You’re comfortable problem-solving in ambiguous environments and have a proven ability to influence and engage senior audiences across diverse functions.

You’ll be skilled in creating compelling PowerPoint presentations that tell a strategic story and experienced in building robust business cases that drive decision-making. A background in strategy, transformation, or consultancy will help you thrive in this role.

  • Exceptional analytical capability with demonstratable experience in developing actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across diverse functions.
  • Demonstratable experience in creating strategic presentations and business cases.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous environments with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrable experience interrogating large data & synthesising key insights.
