As the Convenience Commercial Lead at Sainsbury's, you will be at the forefront of driving growth, improving customer experience, and future-proofing the Local store estate. Your role will involve leading the development of format, space, and proposition strategies based on customer insights, performance data and market dynamics. This role will involve influencing senior stakeholders to gain buy-in for growth initiatives, and owning end-to-end delivery of strategic projects across space, range, value, and proposition. You will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to translate strategic plans into actionable roadmaps, monitor performance against KPIs, and continuously optimise initiatives for maximum impact. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, engage stakeholders at all levels, and deliver results through effective collaboration, data-led approach with strategic thinking will be key to your success in shaping and landing impactful initiatives that drive the business forward.

Essential Criteria:
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills, using data and insight to identify trends, evaluate performance, and support decision-making.
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and deliver outcomes against agreed timelines.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience engaging and working effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, building relationships and driving alignment across teams.
- Demonstrable experience using merchandising, ranging, or space planning principles, with knowledge of Range & Space processes desirable.
- Ability to quickly build knowledge and deliver impact, adapting to changing business priorities and supporting projects through execution phases.
