Joining us as a Warehouse Shift Manager in our Local Fulfilment Centre (LFC) means being part of a dynamic and customer-centric organisation committed to delivering a safe, efficient, and first-class service. What you'll do:
- Provide strong leadership across the LFC operation to ensure safe, efficient, and first-class service delivery to customers.
- Land and embed site and centrally-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver site KPI performances to meet budgetary requirements and achieve an optimum cost to serve.
- Lead and develop the team through ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Oversee van resource allocation and be accountable for stock inventory and maintenance.
- Respond to customer demands and changes in volume, flexing operational resources to meet targets.
- Identify and nurture talent within the team to build a succession pipeline.
- Create a customer-centric culture by engaging and inspiring the team.
- Ensure operations are within legal and safety frameworks, recruiting and managing resources to meet headcount requirements.
- Actively contribute to business transformation efforts.
Who you are:
- An experienced leader with a proven track record in effectively managing a large and diverse team within a unionised environment.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills to respond to customer demands and fluctuations at pace.
- Knowledge of warehouse/retail operations, multi-drop delivery, and customer final mile delivery.
- Inspirational leadership to engage and motivate colleagues at all levels.
- Ability to foster a team environment where colleagues understand the impact of their actions on service and business results.
