- Implement and enhance cloud-based solutions across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Help lead the technical roadmap, shaping the long‑term architecture and engineering strategy.
- Share knowledge, contribute to best practices and enable continuous improvement within the engineering community.
- Lead the design and support of internal frameworks that enhance engineering capabilities across the Sainsbury’s Group.
- Engineer across the entire product lifecycle— from inception through to decommissioning.
- Consider cost, scalability, and operational support implications in your technical decision‑making.

- Proficiency with relational and non‑relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB).
- Experience working with cloud platforms like Azure.
- Knowledge of React.js/Typescript and modern frontend development standards.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Understanding of serverless functions and event‑driven architecture.
- Solid understanding of software design, security principles, and DevSecOps practices.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
- Curiosity for emerging technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Empathy and the ability to support, coach, and empower colleagues to deliver their best.
- Self‑driven with a desire to improve processes, teams, and engineering practices.
