Joining Sainsbury's as a Social Media Associate means being part of a dynamic team that values creativity, innovation, and connection with our customers. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Social Media Lead to shape and execute organic social media strategies that drive brand love and engage our audience across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Meta.

What you'll do

  • Support the Social Media Lead in managing the organic social media channels.
  • Create organic social content, focusing on campaign, always‑on, and recipe content, aligning with the social strategy and customer plan.
  • Craft epic video content and engaging captions for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Meta.
  • Own the social media calendar and assist in the delivery of the organic social media strategy.
  • Collaborate with Zest, our in‑house agency to facilitate the creation of organic social content.
  • Attend shoots, maintain the brand's social presence across platforms and ensure compliance with social media governance guidelines.
  • Track, measure, and report on social activity, utilising knowledge of social media tools and platforms.

Who you are

  • A creative food lover and strategic individual with a deep understanding of social media platforms and content creation, particularly on Instagram, Meta and TikTok.
  • Passionate about staying ahead of social trends and creating engaging content.
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills and cross‑functional collaboration to drive successful social media initiatives.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced environment under pressure, solve problems independently, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills, confident in shooting recipe and food-based content.
  • Experience using editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Canva, CapCut).
  • Experience creating and delivering social media content across Instagram, TikTok and Meta.
  • Experience working to a social media calendar and campaign plans.
