As a Range Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our category strategy, shaping our product ranges, making data-driven decisions, and identifying opportunities that drive customer satisfaction and business growth. You’ll have the chance to work with diverse stakeholders including buying, product development, merchandising and supply chain to land your outputs effectively and contribute to the success of our ranges. To do this role brilliantly, you’ll need to be strategic, analytical and excellent at project management, with a passion for the customer. We are currently recruiting 2 roles, one permanent and one 12 m+ fixed term contract.
What you’ll be doing:
- Set strategic range objectives for your category and translate them into more detailed action plans for range and merchandising delivery.
- Use a diverse range of data sources to identify range optimisation opportunities and provide recommendations that drive growth.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of your category’s ranging activity, co-ordinating multiple different stakeholders to ensure your projects adhere to timelines and budget.
- Conduct post-implementation performance reviews of major range changes to continue to learn and iterate.
Your ability to problem-solve, prioritise opportunities, communicate effectively, and manage projects of varying scope will contribute to the success of our range offerings.
What you need to show:
- Strategic thinking and understanding of customer and commercial insights and trends.
- Data-led decision making, using a variety of qualitative and quantitative sources.
- Organised and efficient with proven experience of successful project management of varying size and scope.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise customer needs and conflicts effectively.
- Excellent analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of merchandising software e.g. JDA desirable.
- Demonstrable ability to evaluate commercial opportunities and quantify value, including building and validating financial benefits from changes.
- Demonstrable advanced analytical capability, including analysing large datasets using Excel to inform clear, data-led recommendations.
- Proven experience managing complex projects end to end, coordinating multiple stakeholders, milestones and dependencies to deliver to agreed timescales and outcomes.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate insight and recommendations clearly, including influencing stakeholders through structured storytelling and implementation plans.
