About the team
Joining Sainsbury's as the Head of Strategic Partnerships for Argos Care offers a unique opportunity to lead and drive the growth of a key strategic partnership within the Financial Services division. In this role, you will have the chance to shape the future of the CARE product, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and significantly impact the business strategy. More about the role
You'll be responsible for developing and scaling the Argos CARE product in partnership with Domestic & General and Argos. Your key focus will be on driving increased CARE penetration and margin uplifts through managing third parties and building strong business relationships. You will influence stakeholders both internally and externally, taking ownership of your relevant P&L and working towards growing the CARE business to achieve best-in-class penetration levels. Additionally, you will contribute to the Financial Services division's strategic objectives, collaborate with key stakeholders, and drive the strategic direction of the FS business through data-driven decision-making and exceptional leadership capabilities.

You're an experienced leader with a strong understanding of product insurance and warranty sectors and retail in the General Merchandise market. Your ability to drive financial outcomes, manage P&LS, and build strategic partnerships is key to scaling and growing the CARE business while influencing stakeholders both internally and externally. With exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a focus on customer-centric solutions, you are critical in shaping the division's objectives and contributing to the organisation's overall success.
- Demonstrable in-depth understanding of financial services, including product insurance and warranty sectors, and a level of knowledge of retail in the general merchandise market.
- Proven experience in managing P&Ls and applying data-driven decision-making to achieve financial outcomes.
- Track record of building, directing, and scaling strategic partnerships with measurable impact.
- Demonstrable contract management capabilities, including negotiation and compliance oversight.
- Proven, exceptional leadership experience in developing inclusive teams and delivering complex objectives in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate effectively across all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven capability to lead strategic and tactical initiatives, including project and change management in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
