About the Role

Our Supply Chain team ensures products reach customers daily. The Shift Manager leads a data‑driven team, solves issues, and improves performance. The role requires leadership, collaboration, and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote an inclusive culture through leadership, fostering trust and a high‑performing team.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and meet targets.
  • Assume full responsibility for overall depot operations in the absence of a senior operational manager.
  • Optimise utilisation and capability by allocating resources and managing activities across functions.

What Makes a Great Shift Manager

  • Experience leading and inspiring a large multi‑functional team.
  • Proven ability to work in a highly unionised environment and build positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in analysing data, identifying opportunities for process improvement and influencing change at senior level.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, policy and processes related to people management, safety, health and environment.
  • Experience managing and optimising warehouse, inventory, transport and fleet operations.
  • Ability to anticipate risks and plan ahead beyond remit.
