As one of our Online Assistants, you’ll be the special ingredient that supports a joyful shopping experience for our online customers, so they get everything they shop at Sainsbury’s for.
If the shifts for this role cover hours earlier than 6am or later than 11pm, you will need to be at least 18 years of age. You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Join our brand new Dumfries Store! We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to become part of our team at our new Dumfries location. With a variety of hours and shifts available, this is your chance to play a key role in delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming experience for every customer. The weekly hours for this role will be scheduled within an agreed availability pattern of shifts each week, starting from 3AM. We will schedule your confirmed weekly hours within these times and provide you with 3 weeks’ notice of when your shifts will be. We will discuss your availability and the hours you can work at interview.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in a great condition
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
- Serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays
- Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
- When not out making deliveries, you will be helping across the store as needed
