Retail Assistant – Part-time, Fixed-Term Assignment
Location: Newton Abbot Store, Sainsbury\’s Supermarkets Ltd Penn Inn, Newton Abbot Devon, TQ12 1BN
Rate: £12.60 per hour
Hours: 8 per week (part time)
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure customers have a great shopping experience by delivering excellent customer service at the tills, on website screens on the shop floor, and at the collection counter.
- Collect products from the stock area for customers, take payments, provide details on financial service offerings for certain products, and process refunds.
- Keep the stock room neat and tidy and restock products from deliveries.
- Be present on the shop floor helping customers with questions and provide product recommendations.
- Build knowledge about products, services, and promotions to assist with recommendations.

Eligibility and requirements
- You must be above the school-leaver age in your country.
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
- Most roles are part-time across a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends. Hours are scheduled to fit around availability and may vary week to week.
