As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be part of a dynamic team that strives to deliver customer‑focused product ranges and achieve sales, profit, margin, and stock targets. What you’ll do:
- Supporting the delivery of customer‑focused product ranges to achieve sales, profit, margin, and stock targets.
- Reviewing weekly trading performance, identifying opportunities and issues, and providing relevant analysis.
- Owning and managing category and SKU level forecasts to optimise sales, stock holding, margin, and availability.
- Collaborating with the A&R replenishment assistant to plan initial allocations and launch builds to meet stock and availability targets.
- Managing order processes, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring compliance with legal and sustainability requirements.
- Building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to team success.
Who you are:
- Drive and passion for a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Previous experience in a Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin role, or a relevant field graduate, with solid understanding of allocation, stock management, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and Excel skills.
- Attention to detail, proactive learning of new systems, and ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
Essential Criteria:
- Commercial background in a general merchandise area.
- Previous experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin role.
- Understanding of allocation and stock management and forecasting.
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
- Highly numerate and analytical.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
