Responsibilities include driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, ensuring timely and safe delivery in great condition. You will complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving safely in various locations and conditions. Serving customers brilliantly, supporting them with questions and substitutions, and keeping them informed of any delays is essential. Building great knowledge about our products, services, and promotions will help you provide recommendations. When not delivering, you will assist across the store as needed, supporting a truly inclusive retailer where every colleague can achieve their full potential and every customer feels welcome.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Friendly and welcoming with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience.
  • Proficient in driving a large vehicle in different locations, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes, and delivering to a variety of residential properties.
  • Happy working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment, using initiative to solve problems – often independently but also thriving in a team.
  • Always ready to work flexibly and productively to a high standard across the store when needed – you will be fully trained in a variety of skills, giving opportunities to learn, develop, and try new things.
  • Comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology to perform your job brilliantly, and moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.
