Location & Travel: London or Coventry, Home & Field. You will travel to our southern geographically dispersed depots approximately 2–3 days a week.
Team Overview: Our Supply Chain and Logistics teams play a critical role in keeping Sainsbury's moving – safely, efficiently and with colleagues firmly at the heart of everything we do. The people team partners closely with leaders across logistics and supply chain operations to deliver people plans that enable performance, growth and positive colleague experiences at scale.
Role Overview: You'll join a collaborative, commercially minded people team working in a fast‐paced, operational environment. Your impact will be visible and meaningful. You will deliver end‐to‐end people plans across Supply Chain and Logistics, leading the execution of cyclically recurring activities such as talent reviews, reward and bonus processes, performance cycles and peak recruitment. You will support wider change and transformation initiatives, and embed new ways of working, organisational effectiveness projects and people data insight to monitor progress, manage risk and continuously improve delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, track and deliver people or change initiatives to agreed timescales, managing risks and issues.
- Work closely with People Partners, Centres of Expertise and senior operational stakeholders to ensure people activity is well planned, clearly communicated and delivered seamlessly.
- Balance multiple priorities, respond to operational pressures and adapt delivery plans as business needs evolve while maintaining pace, quality and a strong colleague and line manager experience.
- Deliver new ways of working and support organisational effectiveness projects using people data and insight.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience delivering cyclical people activity (e.g. talent, performance and reward processes) within a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to plan, track and deliver people or change initiatives to agreed timescales, identifying and managing risks and issues.
- Evidence of collaborative and effective stakeholder engagement in operational or geographically dispersed environments, demonstrating the ability to influence and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience analysing and using people data to inform decisions or shape people activity.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent demonstrable HR generalist knowledge, skills and experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence (required for field‐based nature of the role).
