Responsibilities include leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store, prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves. You will run a full store operation single‑handedly overnight, responsible for the full shift and the safety and well‑being of colleagues. Ensure that standards are brilliant come morning so we’re ready to serve customers. Manage performance and capability, conduct disciplinaries, and ensure scheduling and pay are accurate.
Qualifications required are being comfortable with night shift working and adaptable to the physical and mental impact of these shift patterns. Previous line management responsibilities in a fast‑paced operational environment are essential. You should be resilient to deal with both the mental and physical demands of working nights. Providing brilliant customer service and coaching a team to do the same is crucial. Experience in delivering and monitoring KPIs or other performance indicators is necessary. You must be able to manage disciplinaries, performance issues or other employee‑relations issues. Leading operations and being comfortable doing this alone in the absence of more senior management is expected. A track record of delivering customer service and coaching colleagues is important. Experience leading a team in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment is required – motivating others and driving performance. Operational leadership skills are needed, having taken responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs – sales, availability, customer satisfaction or colleague engagement is vital. You should have managed employee relations issues, including performance and absence management. Experience working night shifts in a high‑volume operational environment is necessary – creating a safe, supportive atmosphere during out‑of‑hours trading.
Benefits include a £4,500 premium on top of base salary; nightshifts run 22:00–08:00. A discount card provides a 10% discount on shopping at Sainsbury’s, Argos, Tu and Habitat after four weeks, increasing to 15% on Fridays, Saturdays and at Argos every pay day.
