Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers’ doorsteps, on time and in great condition.

Responsibilities

  • Complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before driving.
  • Drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Serve customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays.
  • Build strong knowledge about our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
  • When not out delivering, help across the store as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
  • Must complete an online driving risk assessment and, if successful, a driving assessment when joining.
  • Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
  • Friendly and welcoming with genuine enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience.
  • Proficient at driving a large vehicle in varied locations, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes.
  • Enjoy working in a fast‑paced, physical, high‑energy environment, using initiative to solve problems independently and within a team.
  • Ready to work flexibly and productively across the store, fully trained in a variety of skills and willing to learn new digital tools.
  • Capable of moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.
  • Comfortable with inclusive workplace values, supporting diversity and equity in all interactions.
