What you\’ll do

As the Personal Assistant to the Clothing Leadership team, you will play a crucial role in providing professional and proactive support by managing administrative tasks, coordinating projects, and ensuring effective communication on behalf of the Directors. Your responsibilities will include maintaining confidentiality while managing email and diary schedules, preparing accurate communications, organising meetings and travel arrangements, supporting presentation preparation, managing departmental schedules and expenses, and executing ad hoc projects as required. Your ability to prioritise workload, simplify processes, and engage with stakeholders at all levels will be essential in supporting the Clothing Leadership team in meeting their commitments and driving key initiatives forward on a daily basis.

Who you are

You are an experienced professional with a proven track record in providing high-level administrative support to senior managers. With excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion, you excel in managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders effectively. Your proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment demonstrate your capability to support the Clothing Leadership team in meeting their commitments and driving operational excellence on a day-to-day basis.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record providing PA support to a senior manager, proactively looking ahead in the diary and ensuring that the diary is well managed and thoughtfully planned and that the Director has the relevant meeting documents.
  • Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft packages to include Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Office 365) and knowledge of Sainsbury’s systems (or capability to learn at pace)
  • Experience in minute taking for confidential meetings.
  • Proven experience of simplifying processes for multiple stakeholders
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Proven ability to organise and prioritise workload
  • Ability to draft presentations and compile reports on behalf of the Directors
