Online Assistant

All shifts for this role are from 04:00 to 08:00 am. The shifts are three or four days across Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Weekend working is a must. Interview slots fill up quickly due to the high volume of applicants. The interview and role are in person at the Leek Sainsbury\’s store. You must be over 18 and able to reliably commute to the store for shifts starting at 04:00 am.

What you\’ll be doing:

1. Picking and selecting the best quality products on the shop floor that online customers have ordered, ready for delivery, or providing substitutions when products are out of stock.
2. Using a handset that plans your route around the store, indicating what you need to select and how long you have to complete each shop.
3. Working behind the scenes to deal with customer queries, process orders, and help load vans for our Home Delivery Drivers.
4. Serving customers brilliantly, supporting with questions, and proactively offering help.
5. Building great knowledge about products, services, and promotions to provide recommendations.
6. Working flexibly across the store as required.

We value early morning starts (most shifts begin at 4 am) and working in a fast-paced, physical, and energetic environment. You may work alone but should also thrive in a team.

You should be friendly, welcoming, enthusiastic about helping customers, and capable of using initiative to solve problems and own tasks. You must be willing to learn new digital tools and technology, and be comfortable moving shopping containers up to 15KG.

Attention to detail is essential, including keeping the store clean and clutter-free, to ensure the best shopping experience for customers.

You must be above the school-leaver age in your country. If shifts cover hours earlier than 6 am or later than 11 pm, you need to be at least 18 years old. You must have the Right to Work in the UK.
