Based in Holborn, London at the Sainsbury’s Support Centre and at home, an exciting opportunity for a Lead Consultant – FMCG Commercial has become available to join the fun, energetic & collaborative Data & Insight team, part of the Nectar360 team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Sainsbury’s Insight Platform (SIP) & Insight Consultancy FMCG shared commercial plan each year with a view of the product evolution to support the Nectar360 Business Plan.

What you will be doing:
Commercial leadership

Ownership of SIP Sainsbury’s commercial plan to achieve the budget per annum.

Responsible for the SIP commercial engagement with SIP clients for Client Development, Food & Non Food teams to ensure commercial best practice.

Defining and championing the best practice for SIP client management from marketing, new sign-ups, client reviews and renewals

Management & evolution of the SIP Sainsbury’s Rate card to ensure that it has a tiered offering for all clients, a compelling price point which evolves with the roll-out of the SIP Product road map

Support Insight Consultants in building an insight engagement strategy, identifying Data & Insight opportunities for our key clients

Help define and support in developing insight strategies that align to the overall Data & Insight budget ambitions

Business owner for the SIP Sainsbury’s Contract and associated support services from the Sainsbury’s legal team ensuring it is up to date and reflects the business best practice for InfoSec, billing and data usage.

Business owner for the EPoS validation process and liaison with both Circana and NielsenIQ to ensure that the data published in SIP is accurate and represents what clients subscribe to.
Adopt senior role in raising the visibility of N360 Data & Insights services

Raise the profile and ensure the role of SIP Sainsbury’s is understood within existing and prospective clients as well as Sainsbury’s Insight & Food Trading teams

Build strong relationships with N360 senior stakeholders (Group Client Director, Client Directors and SIP Product Management) to ensure they understand the role of N360 and the benefit of working withN360

Build relationships with Sainsbury’s central functions (price & promotions, ranging, trading insights) to ensure they are aligned with N360’s engagement with

Understand and align to Sainsbury’s supplier tiering (strategic, tactical, transactional) and N360 client tiering in order to build insight frameworks where N360 add value to the existing insights used by Sainsbury’s

Understand the role of trading insights, other central functions such as Customer Insight and other agencies to define where the Nectar360 Data & Insight capabilities align and compliments these

Facilitate 3-way relationships between N360, clients and Sainsbury’s where appropriate
Manage a team of Insight Client Manager/Executives

Motivate and develop a team of commercial and client focussed insight managers & executives to deliver the SIP Sainsbury’s annual budget

Handle any employee related issues that may arise within the team in conjunction with HR

Recruit the best talent available, outlining job specifications, identify and refer top talent in the market, conduct briefings/interviews/assessments/feedback, etc.
Find insight gaps in Sainsbury’s / clients portfolio and develop relevant propositions

Work with the SIP Product & Tech teams to design new propositions in conjunction with Sainsbury’s and clients to bring the SIP roadmap to life.

Work closely with Market Research and N360 & Sainsbury’s Analytics team to ensure all opportunities for multi-source projects are identified.

Work closely with the N360 Insight Propositions & Analytics teams when these solutions require automation.

University degree – ideally with MBA/postgraduate qualification

Insight commercialisations experience in managing annual budget targets, annual plans and an eye for detail and accuracy

Experience of working in category management, consumer insights, analytics or marketing function – Retail, FMCG or consultancy background preferred

Strong people and relationship building skills with clients

Experience with insight practices and/or other customer data sets and tools e.g. Nielsen, Kantar, Circana & Dunnhumby

A passion for numbers and "the shopper"

Excellent project management skills, well organised with attention to detail
