Delivery Driver – Sainsbury\’s

Join us as a Delivery Driver and be the face of our commitment to excellent customer service. Your role will involve:

  1. Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers\’ doorsteps on time and in great condition.
  2. Completing checks to ensure the van is organized, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before setting out on your route.
  3. Serving customers brilliantly by supporting with questions, substitutions, and keeping them informed of any delays.
  4. Building knowledge about our products, services, and promotions to provide helpful recommendations.
  5. Assisting in-store when not making deliveries, supporting the team as needed.
  6. Demonstrating friendliness and enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience.
  7. Driving proficiently in various locations, from busy streets to narrow country lanes, and delivering to residential properties.
  8. Working in a fast-paced environment, using initiative to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
  9. Being flexible and productive across store roles, with opportunities to learn new skills.
  10. Learning to use digital tools and technology effectively, and handling shopping containers up to 15KG.

Eligibility

  • Over 18 with a full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points.
  • Will complete an online driving risk assessment and a driving assessment if successful.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
