Delivery Driver – Sainsbury\’s
Join us as a Delivery Driver and be the face of our commitment to excellent customer service. Your role will involve:
- Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers\’ doorsteps on time and in great condition.
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organized, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before setting out on your route.
- Serving customers brilliantly by supporting with questions, substitutions, and keeping them informed of any delays.
- Building knowledge about our products, services, and promotions to provide helpful recommendations.
- Assisting in-store when not making deliveries, supporting the team as needed.
- Demonstrating friendliness and enthusiasm for helping customers and providing the best doorstep experience.
- Driving proficiently in various locations, from busy streets to narrow country lanes, and delivering to residential properties.
- Working in a fast-paced environment, using initiative to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
- Being flexible and productive across store roles, with opportunities to learn new skills.
- Learning to use digital tools and technology effectively, and handling shopping containers up to 15KG.
