Key Responsibilities
- Driving a 3.5‑tonne van to deliver groceries to customers\’ doorsteps, on time and in great condition.
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy and delivery cases secure before driving, in a variety of locations and conditions.
- Serving customers brilliantly, supporting with questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays.
- Building knowledge of our products, services and promotions to provide recommendations.
- Assisting across the store when not making deliveries, helping with any tasks needed.
- Working with large vehicles in different locations, from busy residential streets to narrow country lanes, delivering to residential properties.
- Thriving in a fast‑paced, physical, high‑energy environment, using initiative to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
- Adapting flexibly and productively to high standards across the store when required; fully trained in a variety of skills, with opportunities to learn, develop and try new things.
- Comfortable learning to use new digital tools and technology to do the job brilliantly, and moving shopping containers up to 15 kg.
