Joining Sainsbury's as a Digital Marketing Associate offers the exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative team at the forefront of digital marketing. Working within our Display & Social media team, you will play a key role in creating engaging campaigns that drive sales and build brand awareness across various digital platforms. With a strong focus on continuous learning and development, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners to deliver impactful campaigns, manage budgets effectively, and drive commercial success.

As the Digital Marketing Associate for Display & Paid Social at Sainsbury's, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and continuous improvement of the digital marketing programme across display, social, programmatic, VOD, and mobile media. You will project manage the delivery of campaigns, collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and agencies to ensure best-in-class media campaigns, optimise and measure campaign performance, and manage budgets to drive commercial impact. By employing a test & learn approach, you will aid in evolving our media programmes and developing digital creative that aligns with customer goals and category plans. Your role will also involve collaborating with various teams to plan and deliver a pipeline of media projects, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, to budget, and drive continuous growth and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging campaigns that drive sales and build brand awareness across digital platforms.
  • Project-manage the delivery of campaigns and ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agencies to design best-in-class media campaigns.
  • Optimise and measure campaign performance using data-driven insights.
  • Employ a test & learn approach to evolve media programmes and develop digital creative.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute media projects.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and practical experience in a range of social media platforms.
  • Experience in manipulating data, with intermediate Excel skills such as pivot tables and lookups.
  • Experience using marketing insights to inform media decisions.
  • Understanding of e-commerce principles and how paid channels drive demand.
  • Experience managing paid social, display and programmatic media campaigns, and working with digital media agencies.
  • Experience managing budgets.
