You’ll be the face of Travel Money for Sainsbury\'s Bank, building good relationships with customers and providing friendly service that keeps them coming back. You’ll focus on handling currency, so good attention to detail is essential. You’ll have a close-knit supportive team around you, but you’ll be running the bureau on your own most of the time, so you’ll need to be confident in making decisions. Ideally you’ll have a background in finance or cash handling, but previous experience isn’t essential as training is provided. What’s important is that you love helping people, have a good eye for detail, and are comfortable working with large amounts of money and figures.
Alongside a market-leading rate of pay, a great range of benefits is available for all colleagues:
Benefits
- Discount card – provided after 4 weeks giving 10% off most items in Sainsbury\'s, Argos and Habitat. Discount increases at Sainsbury\'s to 15% every payday for five days, plus 15% at Argos on selected weekends during the year.
- Generous holiday entitlement – based on hours worked.
- Family leave – maternity and paternity leave.
- Pension – Sainsbury\'s matches between 4-7% of pension contributions.
- Sainsbury\'s share schemes – save directly from your pay to buy shares at discounted prices with the option to buy shares each pay period.
- Wellbeing support – free access to Unmind (mental wellbeing app) and the Employee Assistance Programme for confidential support and guidance.
- Colleague networks – internal networks to help you fulfil your potential.
- Cycle to work scheme – hire a bike and accessories (tax and NI savings).
- Shopping discounts – offers on gym memberships, restaurants, holidays, retail vouchers and more.
There are a range of shift patterns available; flexibility to cover early, late and weekend shifts is helpful. DBS and credit checks are required for successful candidates.
