Overview
Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store whilst prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves. On some shifts you may run a full store operation on your own overnight, being responsible for the full shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store. Ensure standards are excellent by the morning to be ready to serve customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead overnight replenishment and store operations, prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves.
- Occasionally run a full store operation on your own overnight, taking responsibility for the shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues.
- Maintain high standards so the store is ready to serve customers in the morning.
- Coach and manage people, conduct disciplinaries where needed, and ensure scheduling and pay accuracy.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment for the team, understanding the physical and mental impact of nightshift work.
- Experience in line management within a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Demonstrate resilience to meet the mental and physical demands of night work and lead by example.
- Provide excellent customer service and coach the team to do the same.
- Deliver and monitor KPIs or other performance indicators and use insights to drive improvements.
- Manage employee relations issues, including performance and absence management, as appropriate.
- Lead operations in the absence of more senior management.
- Promote inclusivity and maintain a track record of delivering great customer service and coaching others.
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and keeping operations running smoothly.
