Responsibilities:
- Driving a 3.5-tonne van to deliver a variety of products to customers’ doorsteps on-time and in good condition.
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organized, clean, roadworthy and that delivery cases are secure before setting off.
- Serving customers with enthusiasm, answering questions and informing them of any delays.
- Learning to use new technology effectively and driving a large vehicle across residential streets and country lanes.
- Assisting in maintaining stockroom or shop floor operations when not on the road.
- Building deep knowledge of products, services and promotions to provide helpful recommendations.
- Maintaining a friendly, professional presence as the face of Argos when delivering to customers.
- Proficiently driving large vehicles in varied environments, including busy streets and narrow lanes, and delivering to a range of residential locations.
- Working efficiently in a fast-paced, physical, high-energy environment, using initiative to solve problems, often independently while also thriving in a team.
- Being flexible and productive across the store when needed, leveraging training to learn new skills.
