Requirements

  • We need an experienced Data Architect with a passion for creating order within reporting structures for democratised usage at enterprise scale.
  • We need in-depth expertise in data modelling, including conceptual, logical and physical modelling.
  • We need strong experience working closely with partner consultancies to ensure data models are consistent, accurate and aligned with data architecture standards.
  • We need curiosity and drive to understand business processes and the data they generate, and to use this data to drive business value through effective data strategies and alignment to North Star architecture.
  • We need expertise in data warehousing and end-to-end analytical architecture.
  • We need comfort with different modelling methodologies, including 3NF, dimensional and Data Vault.
  • We need to stay abreast of the latest industry developments across data, including Medallion Architecture, Data Mesh, Generative and Agentic AI, and MCP.
  • We need strong communication and influencing skills to drive the implementation of data design best practice at engineering and product manager levels within and across teams in the Data Ecosystem.
  • We need a good understanding of North Star Architecture and the ability to lead and influence design decisions across governance forums.
  • We need experience providing technical leadership and mentorship to partner consultancy resources.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build leading-edge data solutions and models.
  • Act as custodian of our data models and work closely with engineering teams to shape and design new products and services within an overall data architecture for the area.
  • Work in agile and empowered teams across multiple domains to deliver products at pace.
  • Work with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to ensure the best data solutions are delivered across domains.
  • Triaging new requirements, provide impact assessments, and estimate effort for amending data models in line with solution designs and requirements.
  • Develop and enhance logical and physical data models in line with new requirements.
  • Define and align modelling across domain-aligned delivery teams from a physical and logical perspective on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure data models developed across the Data Ecosystem meet the appropriate standards and principles defined within Data Architecture.
  • Create data solutions that meet business needs and move towards the end-state architecture.
  • Ensure data models are documented, communicated, updated and centrally managed across brand-aligned domains.
  • Lead and influence design decisions across governance forums.
  • Own and develop data modelling principles, standards and tools across all teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to partner consultancy resources.
  • Act as an escalation route to help resolve issues pertaining to data models.
  • Work closely with Domain and Enterprise Architects to agree critical architecture design decisions that impact the data model and data architecture.
