Overview
In this role you will act as a strategic finance partner to the Argos Technology leadership, shaping financial decisions for technology investments and BAU spend. You’ll own end-to-end financial performance, ensure cost visibility, and deliver high-quality management information. You will develop business cases, support planning and budgeting, and ensure governance and accounting policy compliance. The role combines analytical rigor with cross-functional collaboration to drive growth and value for a major retail/tech group.

Responsibilities
- Maintain end-to-end financial performance for the Argos Technology area, including cost visibility and value outcomes
- Develop financial models to support business cases and investment decisions
- Oversee management information delivery and contribute to corporate planning and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and strong governance across reporting cycles
- Provide strategic finance support, challenge, and insights to senior leadership to improve decision-making
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with evidence of applying technical accounting to commercial decisions
- Commercial finance business partnering experience in large FMCG/retail/tech environments
- Advanced Excel with financial modelling, timely financial analysis, and strong controls
- Experience in stakeholder management across multiple functions
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and translate into actionable insights
