Division/DeptSainsbury’s TechLocationHome and various UK locationsReporting toInstallation Services ManagerIn a nutshellIn Sainsbury’s Tech we build the technology which powers the UK’s number 1 multi-channel, multi-brand retailer.The Implementation Controller will plan and lead deployments and Installations to time and agreed cost across new store openings, store investments and new Technology projects across the JS/Argos estate, including Stores and Depots. The Implementation Controller will provide the service experience for our store colleagues, key stakeholders and customers through-out each deployment, Installation or new site opening that they are responsible for.What I need to doManage all store and project works as allocated by the Installation Services Manager to enable the delivery of an improved colleague and customer service offer on time and to agreed quality and budgetWork with key stakeholders and third-party suppliers to ensure that any enhancement activities impacting the store infrastructure are managed to minimise disruption to store operations in agreement with the PMLiaise with Installation Services Process Design team to produce signed off project deployment documentation where requiredCreate and distribute Activity Timelines for each store to all internal and external parties and arrange and lead a TECH PIR upon completion, reporting the output to the Installation Services Manager. Communicate scope, timelines and requirements clearly and accurately to all relevant parties to ensure successful delivery of each store / project. Liaise with key 3rd party stakeholders to request appropriate engineering resource to each store to ensure all activities are delivered on time and to agreed quality and costProduce hardware picking and staging requirements for store activities to agreed timescales and ensure these are met without issueRaise requests for third party suppliers as required for each store activity and programme to agreed timescales and budgetThoroughly review all third-party quotations for accuracy and pricing and request Purchase Orders are raised along with CPAR of funds requests via the Installation Services Finance TeamManage, monitor and own all costs related to deployment and investment activities and keep documentation updated which records forecast and actualsAct as a central point of contact for all related activities, recording issues in an accurate and timely manner via appropriate documentation, providing support and advising on resolutions through consultation with relevant teams as requiredRegularly assess risks and issues, providing support, implementing resolution or mitigating actions, escalating where necessary to minimise factors that could delay the store launch or programme deliveryEnsure sign off is obtained from all internal and third parties for completed activities and ensure appropriate charges are being levied by third party suppliersFocus on populating and maintaining all team records and process documentation along with trackers and central libraries Contribute to Property PIR’s and ensure any learnings are incorporated into future activitiesProvide out of Hours on call support on a rotational basis to cover 365 days per yearMake on site visits at agreed times with the Installation Services Manager and attend on site meetings as advised and agreed by your line manager at various locations so UK travel is required.How I will succeedVisible role model who lives and breathes our core values every dayReceives great feedback from colleagues, stakeholders and third-party suppliersSuccessful completion of allocated works delivered to high quality, on time and within budget and without impact to store or depot tradingAll installations handed over to Retail and or Logistics are delivered to a high standard and are fit for purpose and on timeEssential skillsAble to showcase vast experience gained by managing multiple, concurrent activities/projects is essential, preferably gained within a fast-paced multi-channel store or retail environmentExperience of operating successfully within a team environment, dealing with stakeholders and third parties and achieving core goals is essentialInitiative to prioritise workload and manage tasks through to completion to deliver the best end goals for all key stakeholdersComplete all technical activities as required to support the TECH element of new store opening.
