This role is field based and will require some travel across our UK logistics network

What you\\\’ll do

Here you will be accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of change and transformation programmes across our Logistics network. You will work collaboratively with teams across Logistics, Transformation, and the wider business to agree on business plans and continuous improvement plans. Your role will involve programme planning, process improvement, cost management, change management, and industry thinking to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality within the logistics operations.

Additionally, you will provide training and support to Logistics teams, attend forums and meetings related to food programmes, and be accountable for governance and accountability by producing required status reports and updates for Steering and Working Groups. Your expertise in end-to-end warehouse operations, strategic change implementation, risk management, and effective communication will be essential in driving the success of programmes and initiatives.

You will have a proven track record in driving strategic change and delivering operational excellence within complex logistics operations. Your expertise in programme management, process improvement, and cost-saving initiatives enables you to lead transformation programmes effectively, ensuring operational imperatives are aligned with business goals.

With strong communication skills, stakeholder management abilities, and a focus on continuous improvement, you drive change initiatives, foster a culture of innovation, and empower teams to achieve efficiency gains and cost savings. Your critical thinking, risk management proficiency, and commitment to challenging the status quo make you a valuable asset in driving successful change and transformation across the logistics function.

Essential

  • Expert in the end-to-end process of the Warehouse operation in Logistics and understanding your part in driving its success.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the relevant legislation, policy and process in all matters relating to your working location, including Health & Safety, Trade Union legislation and Employment Law (e.g. working time directive for Warehouse colleagues).
  • Proven experience in rolling out strategic change in a complex organisation.
  • Effective written and spoken communicator at all levels, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and present at leadership forums.
  • Excellent coaching skills focused on improving individual and collective performance.
  • A solid understanding of risk management and its application to programmes
  • A working knowledge of MS Project or equivalent.
