As a Lead Analyst within Sainsbury’s Digital Analytics team, you’ll use data to help our Tu Clothing stakeholders better understand customer behaviour, optimise digital experiences, and identify opportunities to drive value across the Tu Clothing online journey. This role sits across a mixed eCommerce and digital product environment, with the majority of the focus centred on supporting the Tu Clothing brand through insight, analysis, and opportunity identification, while also partnering with teams contributing to the product roadmap. You’ll play a key role in shaping and prioritising an analytics backlog that supports both strategic decision-making and day‑to‑day optimisation. Alongside delivering high‑quality analysis, you’ll build strong relationships with Tu Clothing stakeholders, acting as a trusted analytics partner and helping to ensure the team is focused on the work that will deliver the greatest impact. You’ll also line‑manage an Associate Analyst, supporting their development and helping to build capability within the team. You’ll be part of our central Data & Analytics function, giving you access to deep expertise, modern tools, and a strong peer network to support your own development and progression. We offer flexible working, competitive benefits, and a culture where diverse perspectives are valued and growth is actively encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Own the analytics relationship with Tu Clothing stakeholders, building strong partnerships and a clear understanding of priorities, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Shape, prioritise, and manage the analytics backlog to drive improvements in customer experience, commercial performance, and digital effectiveness.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insight into customer behaviour and performance across digital channels, using a range of outputs from quick analysis to deep dives and dashboards.
  • Support stakeholders in understanding performance, customer journeys, and key trends to inform decision‑making across eCommerce and digital product.
  • Collaborate across digital product, trading, engineering, and analytics teams to support roadmap decisions, ensure robust data capture, and align work to business needs.
  • Quantify the impact of initiatives, features, and changes, contributing to meaningful performance measures and highlighting opportunities, risks, and next steps.
  • Support experimentation and best practice by applying A/B testing principles and improving reporting, processes, and ways of working.
  • Lead analytical projects and line manage an Associate Analyst, providing coaching, direction, and development support.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in digital product or eCommerce analytics, with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insight on customer behaviour and digital performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with a track record of building trusted relationships across multiple business areas.
  • Experience leading analytical workstreams, managing priorities, and driving delivery.
  • Solid digital analytics knowledge, with experience using tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis across large datasets.
  • Good understanding of A/B testing and experimentation, and how it supports data‑led decision‑making.
