Overview
SailGP is seeking an Unreal Developer for the SailGP Simulator project based in Southampton, United Kingdom. This is a hybrid role with a combination of remote work and on-site work at SailGP Technologies’ UK facility in Hedge End, Southampton. Some travel to SailGP events may be required, including weekend work when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the Unreal side of the project.
- Improve and develop the existing code.
- Manage the Visualization code repositories.
- Create new features as custom C++ code.
- Develop networking code within the game engine to support multiplayer.
- Improve current code by expanding physics visualization (focus on expanding the multiplayer aspect).
- Create and improve morphing assets and their code interface with the physics engine.
- Capacity to see gaps and risks in the requirements/new features.
- Able to evaluate the effort required to do the 3D visualization.

Location & Requirements
Location: United Kingdom. This is a hybrid role, with a combination of working from home and on-site at SailGP Technologies’ UK facility in Hedge End, Southampton. Candidates should be within a reasonable commuting distance of the facility. The role may involve occasional travel to SailGP events for feature launches or demonstrations, as well as some weekend work when required.
