Summary
We are looking for a People Advisor to deliver expert HR guidance, support managers and employees on employee relations, performance and policy matters. You will play a key role in shaping SailGP culture while ensuring compliance with HR standards. As an integral part of the business, we go beyond traditional HR, offering accessible and forward-thinking support to inspire positive change and shape SailGP’s future. We’re after someone who’s interested in performance, pay and reward to help shape this area alongside our Head of People and can bring best practice and knowledge to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a trusted advisor to line managers, offering practical, timely and solutions-focused advice and guidance across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
- Work closely with the Senior People Partner on the people strategy for your areas, staying connected to operational activity and feeding back key insights.
- Oversee a broad range of people operations, encompassing recruitment, contracting, onboarding and offboarding, reward and recognition and performance management.
- Partner with the Head of People to develop and oversee the organisation’s performance, pay and reward strategy owning the development of frameworks which outline our approach to ensure pay, incentives and benefits are competitive, equitable and aligned with current market trends.
- Work collaboratively with the wider People team to ensure performance and reward practices drive workforce engagement and support a positive, inclusive and collaborative culture.
- Act as a subject matter expert, keeping the wider People team informed of external trends, developments and changes in employment legislation.
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, guiding them through operational processes and providing them with exposure to ongoing casework.

- Experience in advisory level work and confident to independently manage casework.

- Strong communicator, confident handling sensitive or complex matters.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Committed to delivering a positive employee experience and practical solutions.
- Proactive, resourceful and able to take ownership from start to finish.
- Adaptable, collaborative and culturally aware.
Location: Gloucester Road, Kensington. Hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the London Office.
