Role Overview

The Media Rights and Broadcast Operations coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of broadcast partners and internal production operations. This role acts as a key liaison between broadcasters, production teams, reporting partners, and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of broadcast content, accurate audience reporting, and effective communication across the business.

Profile Overview

SailGP are looking for an enthusiastic, insightful and motivated individual to join the Media Rights / Broadcast team. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable interest in media rights and broadcast even if they do not yet have experience of a full-time role in this industry. Knowledge of Sports / Sports business would also be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Broadcast Partner Management
    • Manage day-to-day relationships with global broadcasters.
    • Work with broadcasters to receive and confirm event schedules, including time slots, re-runs, and programming details.
    • Collect audience viewership data from broadcasters and collaborate with in-house and external reporting teams.
    • Work alongside the media rights team regarding broadcast renewals and support the team in achieving KPIs throughout the year.
    • Raise invoices for broadcasters and manage the annual team budget.
  • Audience Data & Reporting
    • Produce top-level event audience reports for internal distribution across broadcast, social, and digital.
  • Production & Content Distribution
    • Work closely with the production team to ensure all required information is shared with broadcasters ahead of event weekends, including distribution details, logos, promotional videos, and assets.
    • Coordinate commentary briefings, including with foreign producers, and disseminate editorial information before and after meetings.
    • Distribute broadcast paperwork such as music cue sheets and scripts.
    • Support on event weekends by assisting with sourcing music tracks, conducting GFX checks, and setting up live scripts.
    • Work closely with our US broadcaster to coordinate producers, manage information requests, and track deliveries.
  • Digital Platforms & Tools
    • Act as the in-house main point of contact for “The Port,” the company’s online content-sharing platform.
    • Manage onboarding, liaise with the external platform provider on issues, and contribute to platform design and improvements.
    • Work closely with the social media team to coordinate asset transfers, ROS level information and other key details with broadcaster social media teams.
    • Work with the social media and design teams to ensure clear and consistent ‘where to watch’ information is shared across platforms.
  • Internal Communications & Team Support
    • Write and distribute a monthly internal newsletter highlighting key stories from the production department.
    • Create decks and sales materials to support commercial and broadcast activities.
    • Arrange departmental meetings and team outings.
    • Provide general operational and administrative support to the production and broadcast teams.
    • Assist with social media clipping at Ealing during race weekends on occasion, if required.

  • Able to communicate confidently and adapt communication style according to the needs of the stakeholder and across multiple departments.

Gloucester Road, Kensington. Hybrid working model with a minimum of 3 days per week in the London Office.
