Role Summary

SailGP is welcoming tens of thousands of fans to races throughout the 2025 and 2026 Season, with millions more set to watch racing from home. SailGP events are delivered in a mix of repeat and new venues. SailGP is delivering a standardised approach to processes and products, but each Race Stadium and local fanbase is truly unique.

SailGP is searching for a Ticketing Manager to deliver the ticketing operations at SailGP events, taking the lead on events in EMEA (6 events) and supporting the global ticketing team as required across APAC and the Americas regions.

You will work closely with the rest of the Global team to ensure Ticketing activity is prepared, built, optimised and reported on, to ensure a smooth pre-during-post event operation.

You will be working with internal departments, outside vendors, partners, and local teams to coordinate, plan, build and deliver these events.

As SailGP grows season to season, the opportunities to reshape processes, work on new products and enhance our offering will increase, and you’ll have the brief and remit to implement recommendations and changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work across the full event build process on our suppliers\\\’ ticketing platform (one global platform for all events), including set up, seat configurations (mix of allocated vs not), inventory management, discount codes, tracking and reporting. You will lead this for EMEA, and support where necessary for APAC and the Americas.
  • Own the content on SailGP’s ticketing site, liaising with internal teams for imagery, content, tracking requirements and recommending an optimised customer journey.
  • Oversee the ticketing content on SailGP’s event pages on the SailGP website, working with internal teams to ensure content and imagery are optimised and aligned to SailGP guidelines.
  • Support the Customer Service manager across key queries being raised and take the lead on managing communications back to customers during event times when the APAC & Americas teams are offline.
  • Support the management of access control planning & delivery across events.
  • Work with the ticketing platform and SailGP operations team to plan ticketing staffing for the event
  • Act as the ticketing point of contact during your events
  • Assist the Finance department in the reconciliation of all ticket revenues
  • Brief all onsite staff as it relates to ticketing
  • Set up of box office equipment onsite, including, but not limited to, Scanners, PD Tablets, etc.
  • Own onsite administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, ordering wristbands, tokens, event ingress, etc.
  • Work with the other Ticketing Manager, Customer Service Manager and Head of Ticketing to ensure lessons are shared and implemented across all events for continuous improvement.
  • Work with the BWA (Adrenaline Yachts), local host venues, SailGP teams, SailGP partners to understand ticket and inventory requirements

About you

  • Technical ticketing experience, including working for large-scale sports events and/or entertainment industries with a focus on operational planning and delivery.
  • Able to outline a plan for on sale, ensuring key stakeholders are clear on the process and requirements.
  • Ticketing platform knowledge to recommend and deliver events in each geo based on SailGP requirements
  • A customer champion, with a desire to understand fan behaviours, matched to your knowledge of ticketing and market trends
  • Flexibility to move with changing requirements as each event evolves
  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Attention to detail – from ensuring consistency of copy and pricing across touchpoints to delivering accurate reports and recommendations
  • Experience of sales processes and inventory management across multiple venues and events
  • Experience with temporary events in non-permanent venues
  • Demonstrable reporting and analytical skills to drive recommendations for improvement
  • Experience with the latest ticketing technologies, including managing hold, inventory management and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to influence others and manage relationships
  • Ability to build strong relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and contractors

Location

UK-based, with a preference for London-based, with event travel as required. Expected a minimum of 3 days a week in the London office and race locations around key ticketing milestones.
