The Team
We are looking for a Data Protection Expert to join the Office of the Data Protection Officer (“ODPO”). The ODPO is part of the Digital Regulatory Compliance team sitting within the wider Legal Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a privacy professional to further develop their career in a company that enjoys hyper growth on a truly global scale and cutting edge products and features. This is a Specified Purpose Contract that will be based in Dublin or London.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end assessment, triage and response for all HR-related regulatory complaints and for all HR-related escalations to the ODPO;
- Support the evaluation of, and response to, potential privacy incidents and data breaches;
- Work closely with internal teams providing data protection advice and guidance to drive continuous enhancement of the global HR privacy program;
- Support the Payment DPO in the execution of the DPO regulatory tasks;
- Work closely with the Global Legal Privacy Payment team providing required data protection advice and supporting the implementation and continuous enhancement of the payments compliance privacy program.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- UK or EU qualified Lawyer with 5+ years of privacy related legal experience.
- Knowledge of privacy laws and payments industry data protection standards, including UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in employment law and PCI-DSS.
- CIPP certification in one or more jurisdictions.
